Buenos Aires, March 5 (NA) -- Jairo Guerrero, the femicide of Tamara Fierro, the 29-year-old woman who was murdered, dismembered, and then dumped in a landfill, has been sentenced to life imprisonment three months after the crime that occurred in the locality of Fraile Pintado, Jujuy; during the trial, more than 50 witnesses participated. According to the Argentine News Agency and as indicated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Jujuy, the court resolved the conviction under the charge of material authorship of the crime of aggravated homicide, as it was perpetrated against a woman with gender-based violence. 'The elements we had regarding the fact that Tamara's body had been burned were very few, despite this, we obtained security cameras and testimonies that gave us the contundency of today to condemn the femicide,' expressed prosecutor Ernesto Resúa at the end of the hearing. The same magistrates imposed a five-year prison sentence on Esteban Pérez for aggravated cover-up due to it being a particularly serious crime, while Maximiliano López, who faced the same charge, was acquitted. Resúa also highlighted the work of the Investigation Agency's body, the forensic part, in the collection of evidence, as well as in obtaining DNA through the forensic doctor. After the discovery, the prosecutor indicated that they advanced in the recovery of security cameras and in the analysis of everything that happened that fatal afternoon and night of May 24 of last year, when Guerrero took her to his room; Tamara was vulnerable and he killed her, as the court has already confirmed. The victim's family reported the disappearance of the young woman, who was last seen on May 23, 2025, when she left her home on her motorcycle. The young woman remained for hours in a home linked to the murderer, where she was killed. Finally, Tamara's body was dismembered and taken to a landfill, where they set a fire so that the evidence would not come to light.
